So. Excited.

I'm really excited about my trip to NYC in a couple of days. I'm also an obsessive list-maker. It's what I do. So I've made a list of what I have planned and hope to see while I'm there... in photo-form.


Beautiful at night. Maybe it'd be best to see the city by cab... maybe a CASH CAB?!!?


It's been a life goal of mine to be on Wheel of Fortune. But since that seems a bit more far-fetched than I want it to be, maybe CashCab is a more attainable goal? I'll be looking for a silly taxivan everywhere I am trying to get in.


No lie. My friend that I'm staying with scored some tickets to a taping of ugly betty. I haven't watched the show in a while... maybe I should catch up, though?


Of course, I will be going here. But I am also planning on stalking the fashion dept to see where Project Runway is filmed. Can't wait to be a stalker.


And the amazing genius of the Apple store. How glorious is this? I'm hoping it'll serve as some inspiration for my thesis project.

If you have any suggestions, send them my way!! I'm in need of some good bagel shops, NY pizza and other misc activities, please!!

Deeply Madly Living

Came across this site when I was searching out some finishes for my thesis project... and found some new things to love. First, you must check out their graphics... at least the homepage is sweet. The sub-pages could use a bit of tweaking, but in the meantime, focus your attention on the product.
First, how great is the color?! I love vintage pieces updated with shocking colors. I guess you might could say that I think in technicolor, so this is right along my wavelength.


How great would it be if you got this for someone in college... walking to the showers in the morning with a skull and crossbones on your back? I would have loved.


Here, a bit of irony. Super-traditional form for the cutlery. But. It's an apple-citron-limeish color- and- they're plastic. I'd reuse them for years.


Lastly, a great bathroom light. How incredible would this thing be in a loft? Above some vintage copper sink? It would make me happy to turn these lights on in the morning. I lie. Nothing would really excite me about waking up early in the morning. But at least it would brighten my mood. Get it?! Get it?!! Brighten?!!? It's a light! And it would literally.... ahhh nevermind.

I saw this cuff a loooong time ago on Coco+Kelley's blog and can't stop thinking about it. I'm scheduled to go up to NYC next week to meet with some people from Parsons (I say that because I'm name-dropping right now and it's not actually as fancy as I want it to be)... but while I'm there, I really really really want to go to MOOD. And now I have some fabric to find; I MUST make one of these.

It came from the runway show of Dries Van Noten, Spring 2009.

I can't think of anything more fantastic to wear to my thesis exhibition.
