finals, day... seriously, knock it off.

24 hours later, I'm in a car accident. I'm thinking about how my dang pinky hurts as I'm coming home from a Christmas party (which was lame, btw) with two good friends from work. We totally get T-boned... and the other driver dude (who was really cool about the whole thing) slammed into the car. Right where I was sitting. The ambulance came for me, just in case (Mom and Dad were worried, naturally). They gave me a clean bill of health, but said I would be really sore in the morning. I'm posting pics of my stitches, also... just for good measure. Don't get super-grossed out.My nasty finger.

I was sitting riiiight there. The door that's closed. Don't worry. Everyone was okay.

the other car.

the ems guy thought it was great that he was going to be in a blog. thanks, ems guy!

Everything checked out to be normal, and they said I could go. But they had to take my BP on the arm that just got the tetanus shot.

finals, day four.

Last night was interesting. After trying to save Sara from having conversations with her foamcore, I decided it would be a good idea to slice open my finger with an x-acto knife. Three stitches and a tetanus shot later, I'm all sewn up and good as new. Sort of. So, in honor of some medical problems, a new video. It's a remake of an old favorite.

finals, day three.

I'm cross-eyed and my brain seems to have stopped working properly. Additionally, Sara is having serious conversations with her foamcore. It's not looking too good, folks. Kinda like this...

finals, day one.

I've successfully managed to put off any kind of studying until 11am this morning. I'm pretty sure that isn't a good thing, but oh well. I've been distracting myself with some wonderful youtube videos. Here is my favorite one... by far.

leslie hall dot com

leslie hall's website is AMAZING. she is a girl who knows how to work it, make fun of herself, become a pop icon, and make money all at the same time.

she has a series of photos of herself wearing sweaters:

sells this poster for only $15 plus shipping... i've already ordered mine

has a (real) band

and of course sells a variety of handmade "Midwest Diva Stretchy Pants"

drumroll, please.

I wish to unveil the much-anticipated, highly sought after homemade Christmas tree. Painted gold, to add a little pizazz. The real question... do I add lights and ornaments, or do I let it bask in its own glory?

let's talk about pain.

The kind of pain where it hurts to move anything... including your fingers. That's the kind of pain I'm in right now. I got talked into doing this workout with a friend from school... and it's not just any kind of work out. It's the kind of workout that Navy Seals do. Of course, I'm sure their intensity is much different than mine was this morning. Especially when plodding along- one foot in front of the other- in the dark, in the 29 degrees. For one hour, I ran, I sat up, I pushed up, I bear crawled, I crab walked, I sprinted, I leg raised... and then repeated about 35 times. Not knowing what to expect, exactly, I made sure I was winterized. I'm including a picture of the pile of clothes I set out the night before. To be exact, there were 4 layers of pants, 6 layers of tops, two pairs of gloves, two pairs of socks, and a head band. Once I got started, however, three of those layers came off and I managed to finish... vomit-free! Their website, should you wish to subject yourself to an insanely difficult workout every morning for a minimum of two weeks, is www.sealteampt.com. Enjoy-

#1. How great is it that the Christmas Eve dinner is at Pearl of Orient Chinese restaurant? (Fa-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra... Deck the harrs wit bours of horr-y...)

#2. If you lose out on your "MAJOR AWARD!", you can always just purchase the leg lamp for yourself here- http://www.redriderleglamps.com/

the joys of electric menorahs

i learned the joys of electric menorahs in undergrad.... and thought i would start the holidays off right by posting some ugly ones i found on ebay!

ebay day.

We're getting ready to leave for thanksgiving break. So we wanted to leave you with something good. Mayhap some ebay finds will tide you over..? enjoy!!

I have a thing for unicorns. And unicorns that have special LED lighting? Seriously. There are only 30 shopping days left until Christmas. Get on it.

Apparently, all dogs do go to heaven.

gotta get yourself ready for the Christmas sweater season. I think the bells and bows really add something special to this, don't you?

Apparently, this bear is a big deal. ish. It's an Annette Funicello bear or something. All I can think of when I hear her name is "Annette funnyjello" from Michelle on Full House. Brings the good ol days back.
