I'm considering moving out of my hibernation mode. Possibly. Sometimes, it's just best to take some time off from it all and regroup. So in the meantime, here's a picture.

stress test
Here is a very quick test to determine your stress level. Read the following description completely before looking at the picture.
The picture below was used in a case study on stress levels at St. Mary's Hospital. Look at both dolphins jumping out of the water. The dolphins are identical. A closely monitored, scientific study revealed that, in spite of the fact that the dolphins are identical, a person under stress would find differences between the two dolphins. The more differences a person finds between the dolphins, the more stress that person is experiencing.
Look at the photograph, and if you find more than one or two differences, you may want to take a vacation, or at least get a massage.

my first house.
My parents and I spent all weekend getting my first house prepped, painted, and ready to go. It'll officially go on the market on Thursday- if you or anyone you know is moving to Chesapeake (VA), let me know! We'll get you/them in a fancypants little home!
The pathway up to the front door. Mom planted some marigolds and geraniums to spice things up a bit.
The front family room- the room adjacent is the living room/kitchen. Upstairs are the two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The view from the family room into the dining room. It has a working fireplace, along with an updated mantel area. Even a little bonus of a back porch/outdoor storage!
The view back into the kitchen.
The little, but uber-functional kitchen. Brand new stove, too! I'm sad to be leaving that behind... especially after the crappy college apartment stoves.
The first bedroom... this one is situated to be right above the family room, with a view to the front stoop. Great for spying on your visitors and/or throwing things at them. It has a walk-in closet and attached bathroom with shower.
(The second bedroom's bathroom.)
Master bedroom! From this window, you can see the YMCA... no excuse not to work out if you live in this house.
The master bath sink area. The nice thing about this is that the sink is in a completely separate room than the shower and toilet area... great for getting ready in the morning.
The master bath- brand new tile, plumbing, and seriously the best tub I've ever sat in before. In my life. And I'm not even kidding. Yet another think I'm going to miss about this house.
And here is the rear of the house with the little porch area.
Goodbye, house. Hello, happy new owner.
